Communion: Sunday, Aug. 27

Join us this Sunday, August 27, 10:30am, as we participate in communion together. Communion (aka, “The Lord’s Supper”) is an opportunity that we participate in as a memorial of Jesus’ dying on our behalf on the cross by taking a piece of bread (symbolizing His broken body) and drinking a small cup of grape juice (symbolizing His shed blood). We do this together about once every other month.
All those who have put their faith and trust in Christ are welcomed to participate with us in communion. This is always a great time for our church family to bond together over our common identity in Jesus.

Things you may consider doing in advance to be prepared to participate include:
  – Praying and turning over any unconfessed sin to God. Come to communion with a pure heart.
  – Seek to repair any relationships where needed and possible.
  – Read Luke 22:14-20, one of the recorded accounts of the last supper, which we do communion in memorial of.
  – Some like to fast for a day or even just that morning beforehand. While this isn’t something we push, it is a meaningful experience for those who do so.

We’ll see you Sunday!

90 DTC!

Aug 27 – Nov 26

The 90 Day Tithe Challenge is for those who have put their faith in Christ, and want to grow in their trust with God in this new season. If you call LifeCity your church home, we want to challenge everyone to step up in your generosity. This September, our church family will be operating 100% on the financial giving of those who attend. So we want to use this time to increase our commitment, and ensure that we step into this next season with momentum!

This challenge is based on Malachi 3:10, “‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.”

For these 90 Days, we want to encourage you to give the 10% and see how God blesses you personally, our church family, and ultimately our community as our church increases it’s capacity to do more.Pastor John will be leading those who have signed up, giving away some free resources, and encouraging everyone participating along the way.

If you’ve got more questions about how we’re doing the 90DTC visit our page about it here, where you can also sign up to keep up with Pastor John during this journey and receive the free book he’s offering.

If you’ve already signed up, you want to make a donation, or you want to setup recurring giving, visit our online giving link here

We’ve got people in our church family ready to go public with their faith in Jesus through baptism! But we’re not just having an ordinary baptism service – we’re going to the beach! Come celebrate with the rest of LifeCity as we have a great time at the beach with a bonfire, baptisms, a small time of worship around the fire, and communion.
It’ll be an especially meaningful experience for our students starting classes back up that following week. If you’re one of those interested in getting baptized, visit the link here for more info, or email pastor john directly at john@lifevalley.church.

Pancake Breakfast Sunday

Sunday, July, 9:45am

Why? Because pancakes, that’s why. Also because we believe that something significant and spiritual takes place whenever we slow down and take the time to eat with other humans.

So join us Sunday, July 2 before our regular worship service time for some fresh, hot, pancakes. Bring your family, and invite your friends. Pancakes should be shared… oh, and it’s totally free. Our church just loves bringing people together THAT much. See you Sunday!

Let us know you’ll be there on Facebook!
