Drop off any Sunday Nov. 6 – 20

 

LifeCity is pleased to be offering meals to dozens of families in need this Thanksgiving by assembling all the necessary components for a family to enjoy a home-cooked meal together. We have received word that we can expect 100 TURKEYS donated to us from a nearby generous corporation who partnered with us last year, and we need to assemble the items to make 100 family meals.

 

Please consider getting any of the following needed items for each basket:

Be sure that all items are shelf stable – nothing needing refrigeration for approx.  2 weeks. Thanks in advance, church, and let’s feed families in need this Thanksgiving! Let us creatively and compassionately love people towards Jesus!

If you are a volunteer (or are interested in becoming one) in any ministry at LifeCity Church – Setup/Teardown, KidsTown, Worship, 1st Impressions, etc. – please join us for a one night meeting/training day!

We will be discussing some tools, casting vision, and getting ready for some exciting growth steps for our church. Dinner is provided.

Your Middle school/Jr. high student just started school! We’re welcoming them back to the fall with a video game night at Pastor John’s house this Friday. There will be pizza and plenty of screens set up with Xbox One and Wii fun for all. Your student can feel free to bring a game for those systems, and also a friend if they would like to invite someone else to join us. 

The church will be paying for pizza, so no money is necessary for this event. It’ll be at Pastor John’s home located at:

Join us Sunday, October 23, as we participate in communion together. Communion (aka, “The Lord’s Supper”) is an opportunity that we participate in as a memorial of Jesus’ dying on our behalf on the cross. All those who have put their faith and trust in Christ are welcomed to participate with us in communion. This is always a great time for our church family to bond together over our common identity in Jesus.

Things you may consider doing in advance to be prepared to participate include:

  – Praying and turning over any unconfessed sin to God. Come to communion with a pure heart.

  – Seek to repair any relationships where needed and possible.

  – ReadLuke 22:14-20, one of the accounts of the last supper, which we do communion in memorial of.

KidsTown Live! is like a one-day, “Vacation Bible School” type event hosted by LifeCity Church every summer right on the campus of Montague Elementary, Santa Clara. The event includes awesome games, inflatables, crafts, lunch, and a valuable lesson for kids during the summer. The event is completely FREE, but you should register as soon as possible as space may be limited.
